Special Projects Committee
The Special Projects Fund of the San Francisco Chapter of the American Guild of Organists provides grants to individuals and organizations whose projects advance the organ, its music, and its role in education, performance, and community life. Established through the legacy of the Chapter’s successful 1984 AGO National Convention, the Fund supports innovative and worthwhile initiatives that align with the educational and charitable mission of the American Guild of Organists.
Grants are awarded competitively by an independent committee and are funded through investment income generated by the Special Projects Fund. Applications are welcomed from nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, performers, scholars, and other individuals whose projects promote the appreciation, study, performance, preservation, or development of organ music and culture. The Committee seeks projects that demonstrate clear artistic, educational, or community impact and further the ideals of the AGO.
Grants in excess of $50,000 have been awarded since the inception of this fund.
Grants are reviewed and considered on a rolling basis. The current maximum grant amount is $3000. Completed applications should be submitted to <grants@sfago.org>
