British concert organist Anthony Hammond presenta a Saturday lecture on the improvisation technique of Pierre Cochereau; Sunday recital of a reconstructed improvised organ symphony performed by Cochereau at St. Mary's in 1974.

This event was originally scheduled for September, but was cancelled ue to the closure of the Bay Bridge on Labor Day Weekend.

The program starts with a session on choral techniques and warm-ups by Martin Benvenut, Artistic Director for the Peninsula Women's Chorus, followed by a choral reading session, a short talk by Jack Bethards of Schoenstein & Co., an organ demonstration by Rudy deVos, Director of Music at the Cathedral of Christ the Light, Oakland, and a session on "Pipe Organ in Film" by John Karl Hirten.

SFAGO Composer Concert

The third annual concert of organ and choral music by SFAGO members, for which SFAGO members are encouraged to submit their original choral or organ compositions. Choral music will be performed by the choirs of First Presbyterian Church, San Anselmo, and St. Stephen's Episcopal, Belvedere, under the direction of Martha Wall and John Karl Hirten.
